Hot Onion Powder! New Year, New Product!

It's kinda early yet but I'm announcing new limited edition products for later this year.
I'm starting seeds for Carolina Reaper again, (although I buy most of my peppers* since I can't really grow enough at my place,) but I'm also starting Yellow reapers and Chocolate Reapers this year.
I wonder how they'll taste?

I'm experimenting with red onions instead of white onions, since the red ones are sweeter. In only a few weeks I may come out with red onion version.  We'll see what happens.

I'm also sending some onion powders for experimenting to my buddy Brian to play with. He wants garlic in there, and while I think that may be nice, it's not part of the original, which people already like, so I'm hesitant. Again, we'll see what happens.

Then too, I'm also working on my Maple-Ginger powder recipe. It's made from fresh Ginger with 100% pure Maple Syrup added. It goes great on chicken and someone put it into oatmeal and loved it, so later on I'll be coming out with a limited edition of it.

I love playing with my food, don't you?
Any recipes that you love may be continued full time if I get enough interest, so spread the word to your friends.

OK, I've updated my ETSY site with my upgraded line.
I now have the full bottles available, (over 2 oz each!) and full taste-test kits.
I also now have the Smoked Ghost Pepper version available for a total of 5 different types!
The original Carolina Reaper version, the Ghost pepper, the Trinidad Scorpion, and the Habanero versions, plus my newest, the Smoked Ghost pepper version.

I recommend taking the taste-test and sharing it with your friends.
Get the kit and decide how you're going to do it.
You want something simple.
You're not going to taste it very well buried in a chili or something, so I suggest cream cheese and crackers to start with.

Taste each different flavor and compare them.
Is it sweet?
Fruity?
Bitter?
Pungent?
Does it come on fast and strong or slow and build to a peak?
Is it overwhelming or does it peak out just about right?
Are there 'notes of chocolate' as one guy tasted?

Forget wine, beer or cheese tastings.
Go for the pepper tasting.
For the first time ever you can taste the strongest peppers in the world, not just the fire!

Let me know how you like it!
Like me on Facebook and submit any really cool recipes you come up with on Facebook or through the contact form here.
The best will be posted to the website for everyone to access and you'll get the credit.

Thanks and enjoy,
Joe Baur the HotSpiceGuy.

I'm getting stuff up slowly.
Thank God I'm getting 4 days off for T-day.
I'll try to get things pulled together then.
There's a lot to be done.

There are a few items on my ETSY page and more are ready but I haven't gotten them all listed yet.
Eventually, I'm going to have everything here, but for now they've got the shop already set up.
I'll be describing them here and linking to the page there to buy.

I plan on having a recipe page, too, so get your recipes ready!

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving y'all,

I had to walk 15 miles up a mountain to get this picture and it was well worth it!
